Coffee Break Sessions: Join the ATS Webinar On Cisco’s Latest OT Cyber Security eBook

ATS is pleased to announce our upcoming webinar, the first in our ATS Coffee Break Sessions Series, in partnership with Cisco, where we will discuss the threat landscape in today’s industrial cyber security today.

ICS/IoT security is the central topic of Cisco’s new eBook, “Industrial Cybersecurity: Monitoring & Anomaly Detection”, which discusses:

  • The risk landscape in industrial cyber security today
  • Different attack scenarios: from intellectual property theft to industrial DoS
  • The architecture of current monitoring and anomaly detection systems in use.

Industrial control systems (ICS) quietly run the world as we know it: monitoring and operating water, gas and electricity distribution networks, assuring the safety of natural resource extrapolation sites, and overviewing production processes in factories and plants around the globe. Should any accidental security oversight occur, those at the other end of the supply chain could experience a shortage of critical resources – electrical power, clean water, oil, and gas.

However, it is not only internal accidents that can cause incidents of this kind – during the past decade, we have been witnessing an increase of targeted attacks on ICS environments striving to cause halts in production or even life-threatening incidents. The threat landscape for ICS environments today is vast – and vulnerable ICS pose risks that do not only compromise operation but also endanger the physical security of equipment and employees, as well as the health and safety of the broader public and the environment.

The implicated impacts are, Cisco’s upcoming issue stresses, “economic but also social; the civil and criminal liability of the leaders is also engaged.”

This is why the cyber security of ICS is of paramount importance – protecting the infrastructures and the technical assets that ensure the distribution of critical resources in order to keep at bay large-scale incidents of this kind.

Join our first ATS Coffee Break Session on October 28, 2021, at 11:30 AM GST (streamed via BrightTalk), where we will introduce the issues discussed in Cisco’s latest OT cyber security eBook and have a live Q&A session with our experts, moderated by the team at YourTarget.
